Link Photoshop as a Image Editor module in C++ based application

Sorry... But I'm new to Photoshop scripting.

I wish to link Photoshop with my application (Developed on Qt Framework with C++ language). Major requirement is:

- My Application shall call Photoshop with an Image.

- Photoshop shall open and allow user to Edit the image as normally.

- On Saving of the Image user shall close Photoshop

- On Closing of the Photoshop, my Application shall get the Changed Image - or File name (if saved as different name) - Which my Application had sent to Photoshop.

Can I acheive this?

How?
